Asanov Eduard Aydyrovich

Asanov Eduard Aydyrovich, born on February 24, 1969, citizen of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, resident of the Krasnoperekopsk district of Crimea, worked as a cook. In January 2022, he was sentenced under paragraph "c" of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of minor bodily harm with the use of a weapon or objects used as a weapon") to 200 hours of community service.

On July 22, 2024, he was sentenced under Part 2 of Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation as amended by the Federal Law of July 6, 2016 ("Participation on the territory of a foreign state in an armed formation not provided for by the legislation of this state, for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation") to 8 years and 6 months of imprisonment with the first 3 years to be served in prison, and the rest of the term - in a strict regime colony and restriction of freedom for 1 year. Deprived of liberty no later than September 6, 2023.
