Bystrova Irina Igorevna, born May 7, 1965, resident of Petrozavodsk, head of a private art school.
Accused under paragraph 'd' of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Public dissemination, under the guise of reliable messages, of knowingly false information containing data on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation motivated by hatred or enmity', up to 10 years in prison). On December 27, 2022, she was sentenced to a fine of 600 thousand rubles under the same article, as well as under Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Public calls for terrorist activity, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism').
On 7 August 2025, she was convicted under paragraph 'd' of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Public dissemination, under the guise of reliable reports, of knowingly false information containing data about the use of the Russian Armed Forces, motivated by hatred or enmity') and received a suspended sentence of 4 years.
She had been deprived of liberty since 11 December 2024 and was under house arrest.
