Kulkov Mikhail Alekseevich, born October 12, 1994, is an anti-fascist and left-wing activist from Penza, participated in distributing food and clothing to the homeless. In March 2017, he was detained in Penza together with anti-fascists Maxim Ivankin and Aleksei Poltavets, accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "g" of Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempt at illegal sale of narcotic substances on a large scale", liable to up to 15 years' imprisonment). He was placed under house arrest, hid from the investigation, and on March 6, 2018, was charged in absentia under Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in a terrorist community", liable to up to 10 years' imprisonment). Sentenced to 10 years in a strict regime penal colony. He was arrested in Moscow on July 4, 2018, and taken into custody the next day. On April 27, 2021, the Supreme Court rejected the cassation appeal against the verdict.
