Under Part 2 of Article 205.5 ("Participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation") and Part 1 of Article 30, Article 278 ("Preparation for the violent seizure of power") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, he was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony with restriction of freedom for 1 year after release.
