Safronov Ivan Ivanovich

Safronov Ivan Ivanovich, born May 18, 1990, lived in Moscow, at the time of his arrest - advisor to the head of Roscosmos on information policy, previously worked as a journalist for the Kommersant and Vedomosti newspapers. On September 5, 2022, he was sentenced to 22 years in a strict regime penal colony with a fine of 500,000 roubles and 2 years of restricted freedom under 2 episodes of Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason") in connection with the alleged transfer of classified information to the Czech special services and German citizen Demuri Voronin.
Deprived of liberty since July 7, 2020.
