Suleymanov Amet Refatovich

Suleymanov Amet Refatovich, born October 25, 1984. Resident of Bakhchisarai. Activist of "Crimean Solidarity". Citizen of Ukraine and of the Russian Federation. Amet has a secondary specialised education, worked as a carpenter. He is married and has three children.

On charges of membership in the banned organisation "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami", which, even according to the investigation, did not participate in violent actions, was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime penal colony with the first 3 years and 6 months to be served in prison and restriction of freedom for 1 year under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation") and Part 1 of Article 30, Article 278 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Preparation for the violent seizure of power").

He was under house arrest from March 12, 2020 to April 5, 2023, when he was taken into custody.
