Toptygin Mikhail Yurievich

Toptygin Mikhail Yurievich, born February 11, 1983, lived in Ufa. Mikhail is married and has four children. He has a secondary specialised education, and worked as a washing machine repairman. In 2012, he was convicted under Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Russian Criminal Code to 1 year and 4 months in prison; this sentence was related to participation in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Convicted under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation") to 15 years in a strict regime penal colony.

In custody since July 26, 2017.
