On charges of committing crimes under Part 1 of Art. 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Organising activities of a terrorist organisation") and Part 1 of Art. 30, Art. 278 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Preparation for the violent seizure of power"), on March 22, 2022, the Southern District Military Court sentenced him to 17 years in prison, with the first 4 years to be served in prison, and the remainder of the term in a strict regime penal colony, with restriction of freedom for a period of 1 year and 6 months.
