Ziyadinov Emil Ismailovich

Ziyadinov Emil Ismailovich, born June 19, 1984, resident of the village of Oktyabrskoye, Krasnogvardeisky district of Crimea, activist of the Crimean Tatar human rights organisation "Crimean Solidarity". A citizen of Ukraine and Russia, he worked as a sports coach and electrician, has four minor children.

On charges of involvement in "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami", he was sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment with the first 4 years to be served in prison, the rest - in a maximum security penal colony and restriction of freedom for 1.5 years under Part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Organising activities of a terrorist organisation", liable to up to life imprisonment") and under Part 1 of Article 30, Article 278 ("Preparation for the violent seizure of power", liable to up to 10 years of imprisonment") of the Russian Criminal Code.

In custody since July 7, 2020.
