Ataev Eduard Abdullaevich, born September 26, 1970, resident of the village of Endirey, Khasavyurt district, Republic of Dagestan, worked as a security guard. Public activist, was the coordinator of the Golos movement in Dagestan, organized election observation at various levels, headed the regional branch of the political party "People's Freedom Party" (PARNAS), was the coordinator of the local headquarters of Alexei Navalny. On November 22, 2023, he was sentenced to 6 years and 6 months in a general regime penal colony under Part 1 of Article 222.1 ("Illegal storage of explosives or explosive devices"), Part 1 of Article 222 ("Illegal storage of weapons, main parts of firearms, ammunition"), Part 1 of Article 228 ("Illegal storage of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Deprived of liberty since March 26, 2022.
