Bryukhanov Sergei Georgievich, born on June 4, 1971, is a Russian citizen, an artist, and a sculptor residing in Irkutsk. On March 13, 2025, he was convicted under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code (“High treason”); Part 2 of Article 205.2 (“Promotion of terrorism via the Internet”); Part 2 of Article 205.5 (“Participation in the activities of a terrorist organization”); Article 205.3 (“Undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities”); and two counts under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 (“Inducement, recruitment, or other involvement of a person in terrorist activity”). He was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment, with the first 4 years to be served in prison and the remainder in a high-security penal colony.

On July 30, 2025, an appellate court excluded the charges under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 but added two counts under Part 1 of Article 205.2 (“Promotion of terrorism”) and increased the sentence to 19 years of imprisonment, with the first 4 years in prison and the rest in a high-security penal colony. He has presumably been deprived of liberty since August 10–11, 2023.
