Byvshev Alexander Mikhailovich
Byvshev Alexander Mikhailovich, born April 18, 1972, lived in the village of Kromy, Oryol region. Poet, previously worked at a school as a German language teacher, since 2015 - unemployed due to a ban on working at a school, established by a court verdict.
After 2014, he was repeatedly brought to court under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Incitement to hatred and enmity") for his poems expressing criticism of the Russian government and support for Ukraine, the guilty verdicts sentenced him to punishment not related to imprisonment.
On March 19, 2024, he was sentenced to 7 years in prison under Part 2 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for terrorism using the Internet") and paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation based on political hatred"). On May 27, 2024, the court reduced the sentence to 6 years and 10 months in a general regime penal colony on appeal.
Deprived of liberty since February 2, 2023.
