Chemurziev Barakh Akhmetovich, born May 17, 1969. Resident of Troitskaya village, Sunzhensky district, Ingushetia. Chairman of the Public Movement "Opora Ingushetia", member of the ICNE, member of the Presidium of the World Congress of the Ingush People. Higher education. Married. Has two young children and one minor child. One child is disabled, diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Sentenced to 8 years in a general regime penal colony under Part 3 of Article 33, Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("organisation of violence dangerous to the life or health of government officials in connection with the performance of their official duties"), Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in an extremist organisation"). The appellate court upheld the sentence.
He was in custody since April 3, 2019. He was released on February 18, 2025.
