Chernenko Ivan Petrovych, born September 30, 1998, citizen of Ukraine, lived in the city of Boryspil, Kyiv region, served in the separate special forces brigade "Azov" of the National Guard of Ukraine.
On July 22, 2024, he was sentenced under Part 2 of Art. 205.4 ("Participation in a terrorist community") and Art. 205.3 ("Training in terrorist activity") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation to 18 years in a strict regime penal colony.
He had been deprived of liberty since May 2022 until July 2025 when he was released as a result of an exchange, presumably in early July 2025..
