Demidenko Aleksander Nikolaevich was born on 24 October 1962, lived in Belgorod. He was an activist and a volunteer.
He was charged with committing an offence under Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (‘Illegal trafficking of weapons’) and Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code (‘High Treason’). He was in custody since 1 November 2023.
On 5 April 2024 he died in Belgorod pre-trial detention centre. According to the Federal Penitentiary Service version, he committed suicide.
