Dolzhikov Dmitry Nikolaevich, born June 30, 1978, and lives in Chelyabinsk. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 1 year of restricted freedom for committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("participation in the activities of an extremist organisation") in connection with his membership in a community of Jehovah's Witnesses, which is banned in Russia. However, the court replaced the sentence with 3 years of compulsory work with a 10% salary deduction for the benefit of the state and 1 year of restricted freedom. The appellate court upheld the sentence.
