Domnin Vladimir Aleksandrovich (before changing his name in 2018 - Afanasyev Andrei Aleksandrovich), born December 7, 1966, lived in Moscow, entrepreneur, was engaged in cargo transportation, adhered to nationalist views, attended opposition rallies. He has 3 minor children in his care.

On August 3, 2020, on charges of committing crimes under Part 2 of Article 208 ("Participation in an illegal armed formation"), Part 2 of Article 282.2 ("Participation in the activities of an extremist organisation") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, he was sentenced to 8 years and 10 months in a strict regime penal colony with restriction of freedom for 1 year and 8 months after release; acquitted under Art. 205.3 ("Undergoing training by a person, knowingly conducted for the purpose of committing a crime under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation", liable to up to 20 years' imprisonment), the case under Part 1 of Article 222 ("Illegal possession of weapons and ammunition") was terminated due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

Formally in custody since July 6, 2018, de facto deprived of liberty since June 28, 2018.
