Krzysztoff Flaczek is a Polish citizen, born in 1978 or 1979, and a resident of Myslowice. He arrived in Ukraine in September 2024 and was enlisted in the 1st Special Company of the 2nd Battalion of the International Legion. In November 2024, Flaczek was captured during the fighting for Chasov Yar, after which his interrogations were published several times by RIA Novosti. In the summer of 2025, Russian media reported Flaczek's transfer to the Maxim Krivonos Battalion and broadcast an interview with him in a Russian uniform. His participation in the battalion, which was actively exploited by propaganda (or the staging of such participation), was most likely forced. In April 2026, Flaczek was sentenced to 13 years in prison for mercenary activity.
