Charged under Article 275.1 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Confidential cooperation with a foreign state"). According to the prosecution, "he took the initiative to call a subscriber number belonging to the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Norway in St. Petersburg and a call to a subscriber number belonging to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Moscow. During the conversation, he expressed interest in contacting the military attaché of the said state in order to discuss the issue of providing assistance in modernizing military equipment supplied by NATO countries to the territory of Ukraine for its use against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation."

Has been in custody since June 26, 2025.
