On the night of March 25, 2024, 14-year-old sixth-grade student Taras Gagulin and his friend, 20-year-old Mikhail Bugayev, attempted to set fire to a railway radiator cabinet, which only burned on the outside. The following day, the young men were arrested. Investigators claimed they acted in collusion with Ukrainian intelligence services for the promised reward of 20,000 rubles. The court found Gagulin guilty of a terrorist attack committed by a group of individuals acting in concert and sentenced him to six years in a correctional facility.
