Andrii Haliuk was born on 17 April 1996. He is a citizen of Ukraine and a serviceman of the 12th Azov Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.
On 11 March 2026, he was sentenced under Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Participation in a terrorist community') and Article 205.3 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activity') to 20 years' imprisonment. The verdict was not appealed.
He has reportedly been deprived of liberty since 12 May 2022 and remains in captivity.
