Gerasimov Artem Vyacheslavovich, born January 13, 1985, lives in the Crimean city of Yalta, a worker.

On charges of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organisation of the activities of a religious organisation, in respect of which a decision has been made to liquidate in connection with the implementation of extremist activities") in connection with membership in the community of Jehovah's Witnesses banned in Russia, he was sentenced to a fine of 400 thousand rubles (~€4350), the Supreme Court of Crimea in the appellate instance toughened the sentence and sentenced the believer to 6 years in a general regime penal colony.

He had been deprived of liberty since 4 June 2020. On 3 June 2026, he was released from custody.
