Aleksandr Germizin is a factory worker and secretary of the Vladimir regional congress of the Rassvet party. He was initially remanded in custody on charges of inciting terrorism based on two messages in Telegram chats and sentenced to two years in prison. Soon, a new criminal case was opened against Germizin on two more charges: for money transfers to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he was accused of treason by financing activities directed against Russian security, and for transfers to the Anti-Corruption Foundation, he was charged with financing extremism. Based on the combined sentences, the court sentenced him to 15 years.
