Khasanov Tagir, 70 years old at the time of his death, a Russian citizen and resident of Nizhny Novgorod. He was a disabled person with a third-degree disability who suffered from cancer and became paralyzed in prison. He was sentenced to five years and one month in a general regime penal colony on a likely fabricated charge of recruiting apartment tenants to ISIS. He was charged under Part 1 of Article 205.1 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Recruitment for a terrorist organization") and Part 1 of Article 222 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Possession of ammunition"). He died after being transferred on January 17, 2017.
