Ivashev Andrei Yurievich, born September 3, 1960, resident of the city of Syktyvkar, Komi Republic, pensioner. Civil activist, public defender.

On May 24, 2023, he was sentenced by the 2nd Western District Military Court to 6 years in a general regime penal colony under Part 2 of Art. 205.2 ("Public calls for terrorist activity, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism, committed using the media, including the Internet"), Part 2 of Art. 280 ("Public calls for extremist activity using the Internet"), Part 1 of Art. 282 ("Incitement to hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity on the basis of gender, race, nationality ..., including using the Internet, by a person after he has been brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act within one year"), Part 2 of Art. 297 ("Disrespect for the court, expressed in insulting a judge") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

He was detained from December 1 to 4, 2021, then was under a ban on certain actions until March 19, 2022, when he was taken into custody. From December 30, 2022 until the verdict on May 24, 2023, he was under house arrest, then in custody until the appeal of the verdict on October 26, 2023. Deprived of liberty.
