Katelevsky Yan Nikolaevich, born August 5, 1981, resident of Ramenskoye, Moscow Oblast, blogger, journalist for the online publication "Rosderzhava", has one minor child. Previously engaged in carpentry and repair work.

Under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Extortion as part of a group by prior conspiracy on an especially large scale"), he was sentenced to 9 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony.

He was also charged under Part 1 of Article 167 ("Intentional damage to someone else's property, resulting in significant damage", maximum punishment is 2 years) and Article 319 ("Insulting an official") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, these charges were dropped.

Deprived of liberty since his arrest on July 29, 2020.
