Kavinov Ivan Igorevich, born January 19, 1990, resident of the city of Kovrov, Vladimir region, previously convicted under Part 1 of Article 318, subparagraph "a" of Part 3 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, subparagraph "a" of Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
On May 26, 2023, he was sentenced by the Kovrov City Court of the Vladimir Region to 3 years in a strict regime penal colony on charges of committing a crime under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination, under the guise of reliable messages, of knowingly false information containing data on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintain international peace and security, motivated by political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or enmity, or motivated by hatred or enmity towards any social group").
