Pavel Kazadaev, born September 30, 1996, a resident of Altai Krai.
On charges of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in the activities of an extremist organisation") in connection with membership in a community of Jehovah's Witnesses banned in Russia, he was sentenced to 3 years of suspended imprisonment. The appellate court increased the sentence to 3 years of imprisonment in a general regime penal colony.
He was under a personal recognisance (a written undertaking not to leave the city) from May 28, 2021 until August 18, 2023, when he was taken into custody.
On 14 August 2026, he was released after fully serving his sentence.
