Kim Stanislav Viktorovich, born July 5, 1968, lived in Khabarovsk, worked as a forensic expert.

He is a defendant in two criminal cases in connection with his involvement in a local community of Jehovah's Witnesses, who are banned in Russia.

In the first case under Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in the activities of a religious organisation that has been decided to be liquidated due to extremist activity"), he was sentenced to 2 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 2 years; he has served his sentence.

In the second case, on charges of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organisation of the activities of a religious organisation that has been decided to be liquidated due to extremist activity"), he was sentenced to 8 years and 4 months in a general regime penal colony; on appeal, the sentence was reduced to 7 years and 2 months of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 5 years.

He was in custody from November 10, 2018 to January 30, 2019, when he was transferred to house arrest. Later, he was released from house arrest. Re-arrested on the day of the verdict on June 20, 2024, released on the day of the appellate court's decision on October 10, 2024.
