Kim Yuri Aleksandrovich, born on 21 September 1960, lived in Nikolsk, Penza Oblast. Yuri was a Jehovah's Witness. He was disabled, in retirement worked as a shoe repairman.

He was suspected of committing a crime under part 1 of article 282.2 of the Russian Criminal Code (‘Organising the activities of a religious organisation, in respect of which a decision has been taken to liquidate in connection with extremist activities’, with a maximum of 10 years' imprisonment), his house was searched on 11 October 2020.

Died on 30 October 2020 after reading the search materials in the Pervomaisky District Court of Penza, 120 kilometres from Nikolsk — the believer was paralysed and he lost consciousness.
