Kotovich Valery Nikolaevich

Kotovich Valery Nikolaevich, born February 13, 1980 in Ukraine, graduated from the Kharkov Military Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, served in Crimea, received Russian citizenship in 2014. He is a resident of Rostov-on-Don, colonel of the Russian Guard, head of the procurement department at the Southern Center for Logistics of the Russian Guard. Valery is married, father of two minor children.

He was sentenced to 6 years in a general regime penal colony on charges of committing a crime under paragraphs "a" and "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination, under the guise of reliable messages, of knowingly false information containing data on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintain international peace and security using official position, motivated by political hatred").

In custody since August 16, 2022.
