On June 20, 2023, the 2nd Western District Military Court found him guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 30, Part 1 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for a terrorist act"), and sentenced him to 6 years in prison. On September 29, 2023, the Appellate Military Court reduced the sentence to 4 years and 10 months.
