Kushnir Pavel Mikhailovich was born on 19 September 1984 in Tambov. He was a pianist, a writer and an activist.
He was charged with committing an offence under Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code (‘Public calls to carry out terrorist activities’).
He was in custody since May 2024. On 27 July 2024 he died in the detention centre of Birobidzhan as a result of hunger strike.
