Lytvyn Maksym Ivanovych
Maksym Lytvyn is a citizen of Ukraine and a serviceman of the Azov Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, where he served as an excavator driver in an engineer-sapper platoon.
He was reportedly taken prisoner in Mariupol on 1 May 2022. On 29 July 2022, he was held in the penal colony at Olenivka in the Donetsk region, where he was wounded.
On 15 January 2026, Lytvyn's case was referred to the Central District Military Court. On 4 February 2026, Judge Andrey Slepukhin found Lytvyn guilty under Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Participation in a terrorist community') and Article 205.3 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activity') and sentenced him to a term of imprisonment that has not been disclosed.
