Maryin Sergey Trofimovich

Maryin Sergey Trofimovich, born November 10, 1955, citizen of Russia, resident of Saransk, human rights activist, defended the rights of prisoners. On March 25, 2025, he was sentenced under Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, committed by a person after he was brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act within one year”) to 1 year of imprisonment in a penal colony. Deprived of liberty after the sentence came into force on June 5, 2025.
