Matveev Yevgeny Serhievich

Matveev Yevgeny Sergeevich was born on 8 December 1960, Ukrainian citizen, mayor of Dneprorudnoye, Zaporizhzhya Oblast of Ukraine.

On 13 March 2022, he was detained by the Russian military who occupied the city at the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine.

There was no information about what was happening to him until 4 December 2024, when his death became known after an exchange of bodies between Ukraine and Russia. It is not known whether criminal proceedings were initiated against him and on what basis he was held by the Russian authorities.
