Melnik Sergei Nikolaevich, born June 29, 1972, lived in Volgograd, builder.
On charges of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Organisation of the activities of an extremist organisation") in connection with membership in a community of Jehovah's Witnesses banned in Russia, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison. He was in custody from May 16 to December 26, 2019, when he was released under a ban on certain actions.
On September 23, 2021, he was taken into custody again.
On December 19, 2025, he was released after serving his sentence.
