Melnik Vladimir Vasilyevich, born December 13, 1965, lived in Orel, works as an engineer.
On charges of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Organisation of the activities of an extremist organisation") in connection with membership in a community of Jehovah's Witnesses banned in Russia, he was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment in a general regime penal colony.
