Nevorotin Sergey Vladimirovich, born on 7 January 1966, resident of Bezhetsk, Tver Oblast, worked as a powerlifting coach.

On 28 December 2023, Bezhetsk inter-district court sentenced him to 6 years‘ imprisonment in a general regime penal colony under paragraph “e” part 2 of article 207.3 of the Russian Criminal Code (’Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the grounds of political hatred or enmity‘, with a maximum of 10 years’ imprisonment). On 22 February 2024, the Tver Regional Court approved the sentence.

He was deprived of liberty since August 2023. On 4 September 2024 he was released from serving his sentence for health reasons. On 10 January 2024 it became known that Sergei Nevorotin died in a hospital.
