Nikulin Georgy Nikolaevich, born November 21, 1963, lives in Saransk, electrician, husband of political prisoner Elena Nikulina.
Sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in a general regime penal colony under Part 1.1 and 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Involvement in the activities of an extremist organisation and participation in it") in connection with membership in the community of Jehovah's Witnesses, banned in Russia. Georgy was under a personal recognisance (a written undertaking not to leave the city), he had previously spent more than 4 months in a pre-trial detention center.
