Georgiy Paramoshin is a resident of Sergiev Posad in the Moscow oblast, a student at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, and worked part-time as a history tutor. In 2022, he founded the Telegram channel "NATDEM," in which he criticized the war in Ukraine and migration policy, and called for protests. The channel attracted the attention of security forces almost immediately (possibly as a result of a denunciation by Paramoshin's former friend). They monitored Paramoshin's activities for almost a year and a half. Then, on March 14, 2024, they detained him and placed him under house arrest, and a month later, in a pretrial detention center. He was sentenced to eight years on charges of creating an extremist community, public calls for extremism, and inciting hatred and enmity within an organized group online.
