Roshchyna Victoria Volodymyrivna

Roshchyna Victoria Volodymyrivna, born on 6 October 1996, is a journalist and human rights activist from Ukraine. She had worked with Hromadske, Ukrainska Pravda and Radio Svoboda and was awarded the International Women's Media Award for Courage in Journalism in 2022

She disappeared after passing through Russian border control on 3 August 2023 during a business trip during which she intended to enter the occupied territory via Russia. Russian security agencies confirmed the detention of Roshchyna in April 2024; we do not know whether a criminal case was opened against her.

On 10 October 2024, it became known that the journalist died in custody, according to the official version, on 19 September 2024.
