Sbeglov Mikhail Sergeevich

Sbeglov Mikhail Sergeevich, born September 13, 1993, is a Russian citizen and a resident of Kemerovo. He holds a secondary vocational education and is a manager and the father of a young daughter. On March 14, 2023, he was sentenced under Part 1 of Article 30 and Part 2 of Article 208 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Preparation for participation on the territory of a foreign state in an armed formation not provided for by the legislation of that state, for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation") to four years and six months' imprisonment, with the first year and six months to be served in prison and the remainder of the sentence to be served in a strict regime penal colony, with restriction of liberty after serving the sentence for a period of one year and six months. On May 23, 2024, his prison term was increased to two years, one month, and five days. He has been imprisoned since May 13, 2022.
