On December 27, 2024, he was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in a penal colony under Part 1 of Article 148 ("Public actions expressing obvious disrespect for society and committed with the purpose of insulting the religious feelings of believers", liable to up to 1 year of imprisonment), paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 282 ("Incitement to hatred and humiliation of the dignity of a group of persons on the basis of nationality with the threat of violence", liable to up to 5 years of imprisonment), two episodes under Part 4 of Article 354.1 ("Desecration of symbols of military glory of Russia, committed publicly using the media or the Internet", liable to up to 5 years of imprisonment) and under Part 1 of Article. 325 ("Damage to an official document committed out of personal interest", liable to up to 1 year of imprisonment) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
