Ruslan Shevchenko is a citizen of Ukraine who served as an assistant grenade launcher operator in the Azov Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was reportedly taken prisoner in Mariupol on 16 May 2022.

On 14 January 2026, Shevchenko's case was referred to the Central District Military Court. On 3 February 2026, Judge Andrei Slepukhin found Ruslan Shevchenko guilty under the articles on participation in a terrorist community and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activity and sentenced him to a term of imprisonment that has not been disclosed.
