Skyba Mykola Yuriiovych, a Ukrainian citizen, served in the 12th Brigade of Operational Assignment of the National Guard of Ukraine (military unit 3057). He was the husband of Anhelina Skyba, who was sentenced to 13 years in prison in Russia. On May 17, 2022, he was captured at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. A criminal case was likely opened against him. He died on March 13, 2024, in a pretrial detention center in the Volgograd region of Russia.
