Stroykin Vadim Vladimirovich was born on 23 January 1966, lived in Saint Petersburg, was a singer-songwriter, and held opposition and anti-war beliefs.
On 6 February 2025, during investigative actions in a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (‘Participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation’), initiated in connection with his alleged transfers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he fell out of an apartment window. According to the official version, the artist’s death was considered a suicide.
