Timkanov Alim Rakhimovich, born December 10, 1975, resident of Tyumen. Alim is married and has two young children. He has a higher education, not officially employed. In 2006, he was convicted under Part 1, 2 of Art. 282.2 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Organisation of the activities of an extremist organisation") for participating in the activities of the Islamic Liberation Party (Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami), sentenced to 2 years and 5 months in a penal colony, the conviction was expunged.

On August 4, 2022, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Organising activities of a terrorist organisation"), sentenced to 18 years' imprisonment, including 6 years in prison, the remainder of the term — in a strict regime colony.

Deprived of liberty since November 18, 2019.
