Umerov Shaban Izetovich, born October 22, 1969. Shaban is an activist of the human rights organisation "Crimean Solidarity", he was engaged in sending parcels for political prisoners. Shaban has three children.

On charges of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Organising activities of a terrorist organisation", liable to up to life imprisonment), Part 1 of Article 30 and Article 278 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Preparation for the violent seizure of power", liable to up to 10 years of imprisonment), sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment with the first 5 years to be served in prison, with a restriction of freedom for 1.5 years after release.

In custody since March 27, 2019.
