Viacheslav Vorobev, a house painter from Ulyanovsk, has been placed in a pre-trial detention center on charges of organizing the financing of terrorism. According to the prosecution, he used the messaging app Telegram to call for the collection of funds for an unnamed Ukrainian military unit that has been designated as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation. He faces a potential sentence of up to life imprisonment.
